This powerful prayer is given to St. Faustina by our Lord.

“This prayer is given to appease the wrath of God. You will recite it for nine days as part of the Rosary (five decades)”

She often prayed it for those who are in need of Divine Mercy especially for the dying. The Lord also urged her to encourage others to use it for their various needs.

The chaplet can be said at any time but it is recommended to say on nine days before the Feast of Divine Mercy (From Good Friday to 1st Sunday of Easter).

Jesus said to St. Faustina: Encourage souls to say the Chaplet which I have given you. Whoever recites it will receive great mercy at the hour of death. When it is said in the presence of the dying, I will stand between my Father and the dying person, not as the just judge but as the Merciful Saviour.

Priests will recommend it to sinners as their last hope of salvation. Even a hardened sinner recites this Chaplet only once, he/she will receive grace from my infinite Mercy. I desire to grant unimaginable graces to those souls who trust in my Mercy. “
