My Name is Ronny and my wife’s name is Lucy. We have three children – two sons and one daughter. I have experienced God’s greatest Mercy and this is through my wife’s persistent prayers for my transformation.
Initially we both loved the fun and enjoyment of this world, but our Saviour Jesus loved us so much He pulled us out of all our sinful living by making us go through a lot of hardships. I was a weightlifting champion and I suffered five dislocations. I suffered intolerable pain and used to take several strong doses of painkillers but without any relief. So I became an alcoholic – drowned myself in liquor to rid myself of the pain – all in vain; it led me to suffer high sugar and acidity problem. I had no joy, no peace, I suffered endlessly. My doctor Shantaram Shetty told me – “ There is no healing for me – I may get it in the next life.” As I was also a sugar and high BP patient, no operations could be done on me. It was only PAIN & MORE PAIN!!! – for five long years…. My strong pain killers were a direct attack on my kidneys – I never knew my Jesus. There was no Mass for me – No confession for 29 years. I only believed in “Work is Worship!”
I am a businessman and the owner of Gmamco Construction & Emaral Contracting & Transportation Companies. My business suffered freak accidents. I was often given heart breaking news of sudden triple-trailers accidents, construction site accidents, breakdowns – I suffered gigantic loans and loses – I went into deep debts. We were fearful and ran to Hindu temple priests and they said we killed a lot of snakes and their eggs (snake’s) while clearing our plot. So we needed to do some sarpadosha puja to Snake-God subramanya. So we went of Dharmastala to do the puja which cost us Rs. 12,000 for two days!
But the problem persisted and never decreased or solved. So we went to a Pakistani Haji for prayer. We thought someone had cursed us and one stranger-lady in the shopping centre near India House, told us suddenly that someone is after us and we have to pay Dhs. 2000 to name her. We ignored it but disasters continued…
My daughter got married which also did not last and broke within five months. So many disasters, in our lives that, my wife’s journey towards Jesus began. She came into strong prayers and knew now; Jesus is the only Way the Truth, and the Light!!! She knew that our family could be saved only through JESUS! She gave herself in strong prayers and prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplets in front of the Blessed Sacrament for me and our entire family. We (my wife and myself) were directed to Fr. Jerry’s Retreat in Mangalore (Mulki). It was there that I was touched and I cried and cried and we both got the joy and peace we were seeking for so long, in just one week’s retreat in Mulki. I humbly accepted my mistakes, gave up all bad habits of alcohol, bad jokes, worldly music, dancing, entertaining people in parties with bad jokes, mimicry, etc.,.
I was a changed man and I loved only to pray and praise God and sing and listen to spiritual songs – no more T.V. my wife’s severe back pain was completely healed without surgary as she had a painful tailbone growth. All my BP, sugar, acidity, pain in my body which I suffered for years… were all healed by one confession I had. I am healed today and I shall sing praises to my God all my life.
My children are also blessed today, one got scholarship and is studying in U.S.A. my business is today thriving and am making tremendous profit. All the blessings have come to my house. My wife does a lot of charity too. We are able to give a lot to the needy today.
We visited Potta and Velangani and have received many great favours. When we were attending the Retreat in the Divine Call Retreat Centre, Fr. Jerry Sequiera, the Director of the Retreat Centre, told us to attend the Divine Mercy Prayer Meeting in Sharjah, hence we started coming to the Prayer Meeting and have received numerous blessings and Peace. The Word of God, preached by Br. Alfred Rebello, has touched and transformed our hearts and lives. On 27th December, on the Christmas Feast Celebration Day of Divine Mercy Prayer Group – Sharjah, my local partner agreed to transfer the business (LLC) in my name!!! which I have been fighting for, for a long time…(my own business was on my local partner’s name). This was the greatest blessing our Lord Jesus bestowed upon me. Br. Alfred was praying for this intension of mine and I thank him and everyone who have prayed for our intensions. God’s Divine Mercy is upon my family and me. Ever since Jesus entered our lives, He has taught us to pray, my wife and me get up early mornings and spend several hours in prayers. We attend the Holy Mass almost every day and keep praising God throughout the day. Thank You, Jesus. Praise You, Jesus for all Your Blessings and Mercy.
