The Lord will never fail you

In the Year 2005 I had the opportunity of a life time – a very important interview that would determine my career and future goals.

I was extremely excited at the same time anxious if I will get the job or not, out of the many experienced candidates called in I was extremely lucky and fortunate to get selected however only on Temporary basis. God was very Kind and merciful and soon after my temporary period was over the HRD called me and told me I would be Permanent, this news brought me & my family great Joy.

I was appointment as the Executive Secretary to Procurement & Contracts Manager. Although a low position I truly loved my job and gave it my best. The Job had everything I wanted excellent timing, fantastic location and most of all it was in a government company– It was like a dream come true!!

Every thing was going just fine when suddenly things started to go wrong. Over the months my responsibilities increase drastically & I was forced to stay late to complete my work and my manager would give me a hard time and criticize my work although I did the best in the department. It was because of her nationality I was unable to omplain
to the HR on her ill-treatment towards me. She wanted to over pressurize me so I would be forced to leave the company. The worst was yet to come; in 2006 the government declared that all Expatriate Secretaries would
get replaced by Nationals. My boss took advantage of this situation and her oppression increased as she knew I was helpless and would not be offered another Job.

Being of Indian Origin was something my boss did not like and kept mocking me on the way I dressed and Spoke. This discrimination brought me great pain and I would constantly find myself getting into depression. My Job was very important to me as I supported my university fees with it. I was desperate and had no where to go, I left the
decision in God’s hands and constantly kept this intention in prayers.

Finally after 2 years of hard service I Resigned with 30 days notice period, I submitted all documents to the HRD and also took 1 week leave.

After one week I resumed duty and to my surprise I learnt that the HRD did not accept my resignation moreover my boss was humiliated by Senior Management and was forced to leave the company as many complaints were
received about her from different departments on her attitude and behaviour towards fellow colleagues.

This was truly a miracle as I could not believe that being an Expatiate I would be supported. Truly as said in Luke 1:37 – “Nothing is impossible to God.”

Praise the Lord!!
